Heir to the Pendragon:
A Novel of King Arthur
Followers of the Arthurian legend are very familiar with Mordred, the king's illegitimate son who treacherously leads to the destruction of the Round Table and the Arthurian world. But in older stories and legends, Arthur had another son-Lohoot-who figured as one of the most important characters in early Arthurian legend. Though a great hero, he becomes totally eclipsed by later figures until he gets only a single line mention in Sir Thomas Malort's great Le Morte d'Arthur. Heir to the Pendragon is Lohoot's story narrated by Merlin, Cai and Arthur. Familiar characters such as Gwalchmai (Gawain), Bedwyrus (Bedivere), Cai (Kay), and of course the king are at the heart of this action-filled narrative of life in Romanized Britain as the country struggles against Saxon invaders.

An Eternity to Weep:
A Novel of Elizabethan England
The trial of Eutalia Page and George Strangewidge was one of the most celebrated legal events of the Elizabethan Age-a period noted for its very public administration of Justice. It was, in fact, the most notorious murder trial of the 16th century. Sadly, four and a half centuries after these tragic events took place, so little is known of this couple, whose names are mere footnotes in moldering local history books. Based on a true story, the novel tells of the young couple's short lives, so manipulated and betrayed by those they had put their trust in and respected. Born into an age when a young girl was merely a possession, where she could be married off without having any say, and used as a pawn for financial gain, the novel depicts the tragic
consequences of such treachery. Eutalia and George had a love so strong it controlled them which eventually lead to their tragic demise. A love story. intertwined with some of the major events in the history of Elizabethan England, the novel takes the reader back through the hardships of a country emerging from years of war, famine, and religious persecution. Set in rural England amongst the landed gentry, to the fields of battle in Spain to sea battles in the Atlantic Ocean, the authors of "An Eternity to Weep have brought these tragic events to life once again and have told their story with compassion and excitement . The great figures of the age all figure largely in the narrative: Elizabeth I, the Earl of Essex, Sir Francis Drake and many more each play their roles in a story that was memorialized in poetry long after Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet was no longer performed on stage in England.
04
The Sideman:
A Novel of the Big Band Era
The Big Band era from the mid-1930s to the end of the Second World War was the one of the most remarkable periods in American popular music history. It saw the transformation of musicians into household names like Frank Sinatra, Billy Holiday, Duke Elington, and Glenn Miller. Today more than seventy years after the Swing era, the music of these icons is still being performed.

The Sideman: A Novel of the Big Band Era, traces the rise of Benny Feinstein, a young Brooklyn musician, from occasional performer to the very pinnacle of the musical pyramid. Along the way, his transformation into band leader Buck Fisher sets his meteoric rise against the backdrop of the Great Depression and the events leading up to World War II and the war itself.

05
A Change of Key:
Book II of The Sideman
Buck Fisher, tenor saxophonist and band leader, was one of the superstars of the Big Band era. His rise to fame was chronicled in The Sideman: A Novel of the Big Band Era. Now, having returned from World War II after a life- threatening injury, his future as a musician is in doubt. The Buck Fisher Orchestra earned millions of dollars for the RCA Bluebird label before the beginning of the war. But since his injury may prevent him from ever playing again, his old boss at Bluebird, friend and mentor, Jack Merrill, has offered him a position as Vice- president of New Artist Development at RCA Victor records.
Thus begins a new chapter in the life of Buck Fisher. As an executive, he is responsible for signing some of the biggest names in the music world to contracts for the RCA label. But life is fraught with both triumphs and tragedies and they too are a part of Buck Fisher's story.
A Change of Key: Book II of the Sideman, follows Buck's career as he reunites with old friends who he hires as his assistants. His former sidemen and vocalists are also brought on board to be superstars in their own right.
A Change of Key is again set against historical events following World War II including the McCarthy Era, the Korean War, and the new world of Cool Jazz and Rock n Roll.

In Wales, he located a monument that came to be known as the Gawain Stone—the burial place of the legendary Sir Gawain of Arthurian literature. Unfortunately, his monograph was ridiculed by the president of the International Archaeological Society, which effectively squelched his career and relegated him to an insignificant academic career. The contents? An undiscovered gospel written by the apostle Thaddeus. What that gospel had to say would cause turmoil in the Catholic Church that had global repercussions. For the Reverend Johnny Ray McDowell and his Harlem Church of the Holy Blood, it represented an opportunity to bilk his naïve congregation out of money in the name of fighting those who would oppose or doubt the word of Holy Scripture. Now in league with the drug king of the city, McDowell agrees to use his church for the manufacturing and distribution of drugs in Harlem—for a handsome fee. Meanwhile, bodies are turning up

all over the city and Deputy Chief Inspector of the NYPD’s Homicide Division is tasked with his flying squad of detectives to track down the apparent serial killer. But since there is no way to connect the homicides, he calls upon his friend Professor Bradley Davison of Queens College to help put the pieces together.
